Thank you for visiting my website! I hope you enjoy checking out my portfolio and blog!

I'm Andrea, a student in my final year of History (BA) at King's College London. My childhood was spent in South Africa, where I developed a love for animals, and a habit of day dreaming. I live in North London with my family and pets. I'm still figuring out exactly what I want to do in life, but I know I want to write and share stories!

On the weekends I'm a bookseller, working at a children's bookshop in North London. I have worked as a bookseller for four years! I am an avid picture-book enthusiast. Aside from studying and book peddling, I enjoy horse-riding, painting and illustrating, particularly working on watercolour and gouache illustrations. I have recently rediscovered my love of art and all things paint: and so I am currently developing my portfolio and working on my art skills. Stay tuned!

My other passions include spending time with my cats, Zazu and Mr Whiskers, and crocheting. I am terrible at knitting, but I can crochet a good blanket, and occasionally I will crochet something a bit wacky! When I'm not reading, writing, or painting, I am probably crocheting... and because of this,  I recently learnt how to write crochet patterns!

The only thing I hate is seagulls... I was really going to enjoy that doughnut, but ALAS!

In the future, post-university, my goal is to work in the publishing industry. I am most interested in publicity and marketing roles, but frankly will be happy working anywhere so long as there are books! Children's book publishing is my passion, and I've been lucky to work as a children's bookseller for four years!

I am always dreaming up worlds and characters, which will hopefully make it into books of their own in the future!
