Day 5 - Daily Artwork

Today I felt like painting a mushroom as I've seen loads of posts about mushrooms on my timeline lately.

I remember a scene from a picturebook (the name of which evades me) where fairies lived in little mushroom houses and flower huts. I don't think a fairy lives in this mushroom house, but perhaps a mouse or a toad has made its home here.

This gouache illustration took a while to paint, but I had a wonderful time adding all the little details.
