Day 117 - Daily Artwork

Wanted to play around with my Schmincke potters pink watercolour, which is a granulating colour! I haven't yet found a use for this type of paint within a more detailed piece, so I decided to make a simple one with this colour in mind!

I absolutely adore the texture of granulating colours - the larger pigment sits on the texture of the paper in such unexpected ways! This is something which I find doesn't work in detailed pieces, as the granulation is uneven and can look messy.

But I love the effect here today! This is one of my favourite watercolour colours!
